Source: it is an evergreen bitter orange tree, which has dark-green, ovate leaves, white flowers with thick, fleshy petals and small dark fruit.
Where Cultivated: It is native to Southeast Asia, from where it spreads to India and Persia and today grows in the Mediterranean, California and South America.

BASE NOTE: A rich, lingering aroma that develops slowly on the skin; acts as a grounding element for lighter notes that may dissipate quickly.

DESCRIPTION:
Neroli is steam distilled from the flowers of the bitter orange tree (Seville tree). It is an expensive oil because it can take up to 1000 lbs of orange blossoms to make just one pound of essential oil! Its active principles include linalol, linalyl acetate, limonene, nerol and nerolidol. Some of its countries of origin are France, Egypt, Italy and Morocco.

Neroli has been used effectively to treat anxiety and sleep disorders arising from anxiety, emotional problems and shock.

In skin care it is excellent for use on dry or sensitive skin, though it may be used by any skin type as it has the special property of being able to stimulate the growth of new skin cells. It is safe to use during pregnancy and is wonderful when mixed with a base cream to help prevent stretch marks.

Neroli is refreshing and floral. It relieves emotional anxiety, uplifting for the emotions. It helps nourish and replenish dry skin.

DIRECTIONS:
Add Neroli to your favorite carrier oil or lotion at a 1-2% dilution to reduce the appearance of scarring and wrinkles, clear blemishes, and minimize the look of pores.

When used in an inhaler, Neroli can help support positive emotions and a peaceful outlook.

Aromatic - Diffuse using 1-2 drops per 100 ml of water or use in a personal inhaler.

Topical - Dilute 0.5-3% in a carrier. Perfect for every skin type, it is believed to support a healthy complexiion . For topical application, dilute to 0.5-1% (face) and 2-3% (body).
