Wintergreen is a fresh, minty oil that is steam distilled from the leaves of the Wintergreen shrub. It is known for its uplifting aroma that can be used to promote positive thinking by creating an uplifting atmosphere. Wintergreen can be used topically, but should be used with caution because of the possible drug interactions it has. Use it at a 2.4% maximum dilution with your favorite Carrier Oil.

DESCRIPTION:
This bright green leafy bush with attractive red berries was used for centuries by Native American populations as an aid for sore, aching joints and muscles due to aging or strenuous activities.

It blends well with aniseed, clove bud, coriander seed, eucalyptus globulus, fennel sweet, geranium egyptian, peppermint, rosemary, spearmint, and vanilla C02.

DIRECTIONS:
When added to a carrier at a maximum dilution of 2.4%, Wintergreen essential oil can help with the aches and discomfort associated with aging joints.

Aromatic - Diffuse using 2-3 drops per 100 ml of water or use in a personal inhaler.

Topical - Dilute to a maximum of 2.4% in a carrier.

CAUTIONS:
Keep out of reach of children. For external use only. If swallowed, seek urgent care/call poison control. Do not use undiluted. Avoid eyes and mucous membranes; if contact occurs, rinse with vegetable oil. Do not use if pregnant/breastfeeding or on sensitive/inflamed skin or dermatitis. If allergic reaction occurs, stop use and call a health care practitioner. For prolonged use, consult a health care practitioner.

SPECIFIC CAUTIONS:
Maximum dilution of 2.4% for topical applications. Possible drug interactions. Can inhibit blood clotting. Those who take aspirin or other blood-thinning medications should avoid using Wintergreen. Should not be used at all during or shortly after a viral fever. Completely avoid Wintergreen oil up to age 12. Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
