DESCRIPTION:
Cypress essential oil is steam distilled from the leaves and twigs of the tree to produce a colourless to yellowy essential oil. The region where Cypress essential oil is produced is in the Mediterranean. Its main chemical components contain d-pinene, d-camphene, d-sylvestrene, terpenic alcohol and camphor of Cypress.

Cypress essential oil has some wonderful astringent properties, making it helpful in treating edema, excessive perspiration, and even over-heavy menstruation. This oil has been used in the treatment of cellulite by helping to improve circulation and reduce the amount of fluid that is retained in the body’s tissue, as well as with varicose veins and hemorrhoids. The deodorant and astringent properties of Cypress essential oil make it the ideal candidate for use in a footbath when dealing with excessive perspiration of the feet (helps with smelly feet, too!).

Cypress essential oil is also antispasmodic, especially on the bronchi, so it is a great oil to use when treating asthma, coughs or whooping cough through direct inhalation (place a drop on a tissue or in a diffuser). Asthmatic sufferers will benefit from Cypress essential oil being used in the bedroom.

The aroma has a stimulating and elevating effect on the mind and psyche, which helps to relieve and quell anger. This essential oil may help to calm angry, stressed out individuals.

Cypress is calming and woody and toning for the skin, soothing for the emotions.

Cypress Essential Oil originates from Spain and is steam distilled from the leaves of the Cypress tree. Cypress has a fresh, clean aroma that is herbaceous, spicy, with a slightly woody evergreen scent. This oil is a favorite because of its many therapeutic properties. Cypress can be used to support a healthy respiratory system, give emotional strength, and ease “spider” veins that are a normal part of aging.

Cypress is ideal for supporting a healthy respiratory system all year long, especially during times of seasonal illness attacks. The uplifting aroma has a very soothing emotional quality that provides comfort during times of grief and sadness. The scent of Cypress is also a favorite to add to all-natural deodorant recipes.

It blends well with lavender, tea tree, geranium egyptian, cedarwood atlas, pine scots, orange sweet, sandalwood australian, clary sage, juniper berry, jasmine absolute, lemon, ginger and geranium.

DIRECTIONS:
Add 2 drops of Cypress, Orange Sweet, Frankincense Carterii, and 1 drop Neroli to your diffuser, personal inhaler, or diffuser necklace during times of grief and sadness to help comfort, soothe, and uplift the emotions.
