Rosemary essential oil has a remarkable effect on the central nervous system. It is an excellent brain stimulant, therefore great for inhaling to assist in achieving mental clarity.

This oil is one that should be a part of every traveler’s kit, whether you are flying or driving. Its effects on the foggy and fatigued mind of the weary traveler are amazing. Its sharp quality also lends it to use when respiratory problems occur (common cold, sinusitis, bronchitis, asthma, etc). For these conditions, rosemary works best when used in a steam inhalation. Rosemary is a good analgesic to help relieve pain from rheumatism and arthritis, as well as pain from over worked muscles (great in rubs for athletes).

Rosemary is strengthening and toning, focuses the mind, and increases circulation, relieving muscular aches and pains.

Rosemary is stimulating, warming and refreshing and can be used to help boost memory retention and staying alert. It has many skin care applications, including adding to a shampoo to aid in maintaining a healthy scalp and lustrous hair.

When diffused, Rosemary can also be helpful as a respiratory support oil. Rosemary is also beneficial in massage blends, increasing circulation and warmth to the skin and underlying muscles.

It blends well with black pepper, citronella, clove bud, eucalyptus globulus, fir needle, grapefruit pink, juniper berry, laurel leaf, lavender, lemon, lime, marjoram sweet, may chang, peppermint, petitgrain, pine scots, and tea tree.

DIRECTIONS:
To help with occasional digestive upset, add Rosemary to your favorite carrier oil and rub in a clockwise fashion over the abdomen.

Before a big test in school (for teens and adult students) make an inhaler with equal part Rosemary and Lemon.

Sniff the inhaler frequently while studying; then just before the test, sniff again several times.

When combined with Black Pepper, Rosemary can also increase skin circulation which can be useful in warming massage blends.
