Sunstone is a plagioclase feldspar, which when viewed from certain directions exhibits a spangled appearance. This optical effect is caused by inclusions of copper which may take on a variety of shapes. Some sunstone is labradorite.

Once believed to be a piece of the sun, sunstone was sought after by ancient magicians to attract the associated wealth and power. It is also thought to relate to the Phoenix that appeared at first sunrise. It is believed to heighten intuition and to instill a feeling of joy.

Beautiful and useful too! Pendulums are used much the same way as applied kinesiology or muscle testing to help determine the answer to a question.
