DESCRIPTION:
Ginger roots are used for steam distillation to produce an essential oil that starts out pale greenish to yellow and darkens as it ages. It is native to Asia, but came into Europe via trading in the Middle Ages. It is also now grown in the West Indies and Africa as well. Its main components are gingerin, gingenol, and zingiberine.

Ginger is a warming essential oil that is well known for its ability to assist with digestion as well as calm upset stomachs. It may also help with hangovers and motion sickness.

Ginger essential oil is effective for aching muscles, rheumatism and stomach cramps and nausea which are soothed by its fiery properties. It is also considered a powerful nerve tonic, good for exhaustion and mental fatigue. It is a good essential oil to use in massage oils to help with arthritis, rheumatism and muscular pain due to its analgesic and rubefacient properties (it is important to note, however, that a single drop in a massage oil should be sufficient as higher concentrations can irritate the skin).

It is warming and stimulating. It is circulation boosting and eases aching muscles and digestive cramps.

Traditionally used for its warming action, Ginger Root CO2 Total Extract aids digestion, stimulates blood flow and helps relieve a queasy stomach and menstrual discomfort. When added to a carrier oil or lotion, it helps joint and muscle aches associated with the wear and tear of normal aging.

It blends well with bergamot, cedarwood atlas, clove bud, coriander seed, jasmine absolute, may chang, orange sweet, petitgrain, rose absolute, sandalwood australian, turmeric CO2, myrrh and juniper.

DIRECTIONS:
Add 1 drops Ginger Root CO2 and 2 drops Coriander to 1 teaspoon of carrier oil and 1⁄2 cup Epsom salts; run into a warm bath to help stimulate circulation and give a mental “boost.” Use in a 0.5 - 1% dilution for topical use, the C02 ginger we offer needs further dilution than steam distilled ginger.

Aromatic - Diffuse using 1-2 drops per 100 ml of water or use in a personal inhaler.

Topical - Dilute to a maximum 1% in a carrier.
